How To Know If Someone Is Emotionally Healthy

<<Back

A question I get asked a lot is- what does it mean to be emotionally healthy?

A lot of people believe that showing a carefree and happy attitude constitutes emotional well-being. This, my friends, is a facade that people put on to cover up how they're really feeling (their real self)!

Life is always full of challenges being thrown our way. That's the nature of the world. As much as we try to pretend otherwise, it will never change.

The deciding factor in determining an emotionally healthy person is how the person handles the "hand" they are dealt.

People who are emotionally healthy are in acceptance of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This sense of acceptance allows people to feel good about themselves, have successful relationships, and will even build their self-esteem!

A person may experience being emotionally uprooted or physical illness, and still be emotionally healthy! People who have good emotional health can cope with family difficulties, work, school, etc.- even the guy who just cut them off in the street!

This is because they can regulate with their angers, worries, and stress.

Another sign of emotional health is knowing when to seek help. As we go through life we get affected by different things and may need help to work past it. Being able to say, “I need to get help to work through abc....." shows the awareness and emotional health of that person.

What can you take from this?

- Do you have an emotionally healthy relationship with yourself?

Are you choosing to invest in emotionally healthy relationships with other people?

I have been helping woman in demanding careers learn how to find the life balance they are looking for on discovery calls.

I would love to hear from you =)
